Cup 88

It's been a long couple of weeks since the last time G3 had a cup of coffee. Fear not Coffee fans, this note arrived from G3, moments ago:

"Hey,
Had a cup of joe last night at the Home Depot. No fanfare just decided to drink one down.

Cup 89

Cup 89 is monumental in many ways. We have moved past the 90's and the descent continues. As G3 tells it: "I had cup # 89 at Home Depot Friday night while I was working the register in Lumber. They have coffee available so I took a cup since it was slow." It is an impressive sign that G3 is finding fresh opportunities to get cups of coffee. I was present for most of his cups of coffee during his record-breaking year of 1998 and each of them seemed like a challenge. 10 years later G3 seems more seasoned than ever and ready to break his record. That he had a second cup on 2/8/08 is a sign of good things.

Cup 90

I haven't met any of G3's coworkers, but I like them anyway. Cup # 90 is once again sponsored by them. Here's what G3 told me: "Friday morning again my coworkers bring cup "

Cup 91

Cup # 91 is a cause for excitement. Here are G3's own words describing the circumstances: "Monday morning my coworkers gave me a Dunkin Donuts coconut coffee to enjoy. They are trying to encourage me as well as they know about my coffee exploits." I must say it warms the cockles of my heart to know that those in G3's work place are pulling for him as he reaches for Zero.

Cup 92

Cup # 92 for 2008 was passed into G3's body at his niece Isabella's 1st Birthday Celebration. Having had a cup of coffee there myself prior to the cup G3 had I was unsure if the coffee would be G3-Friendly. Thankfully for all involved he enjoyed it. The photo above is an actual picture of cup # 92. Thanks to Karen for documenting this important cup by taking the photo.

Cup 93

G3 was practically sickened by Cup #93. He described it himself as, "a VERY bad cup." Kudos to G3 for finishing this odious cup of coffee. It's clear he's taking his mission seriously.
